Intention - My 2020 Vision
It’s so hard to believe another year has passed. It really flew by. Maybe it’s because I had so much going on or maybe that’s just what happens as we age. Either way, it’s so strange to me that tomorrow we’ll be in 2020. Just think. 20 years ago we thought the world was going to end?
So now that we’ve made it to see another New Year, once again instead of a resolution, I have chosen a word for the year. Last year my word was SIMPLE. While I failed to live up to this many times, I did my best to always come back to it. It really came to fruition when I took this month off and truly slowed down. God really had to knock me down to make me realize that the rat race just isn’t worth it.
During the past month, I’ve given a lot of thought to how I want to live in 2020. While success, happiness and love always come to mind there is one thing that continues to stick out to me over and over; being INTENTIONAL. And I think this is because as much as I preach planning, organization and time management I still struggle with it. But when we live intentionally we don’t waste time, money or opportunities.
So 2020 will be the year of INTENTION for me. Intention in my personal life: getting back to the date nights, putting the work down when my child is present, spending more time with my parents. Intention in my spiritual life: getting back into a regular church routine, sharing my gifts and talents, giving of my time and tithe. Intention in my business: sharing unashamed the amazing opportunity that exists with LimeLife, leading with an open mind and heart and growing personally. Being intentional doesn’t cost a thing. However, the gains will be far more rewarding than any price tag could measure.
I would encourage you to reflect on 2019 and all that it brought. Whether that be good, bad or a mix of both take it in and learn from it. Commit to being the best version of yourself in 2020 and go for it!
Happy New Year, friends!
