Live, Love and Shop Local
Everyone’s world has been turned upside down the last month or so with the pandemic. The sting of this crisis has affected everyone differently. It has really made me stop and think about the “what ifs” of life on so many levels. Corporations taking large measures for safety. The medical community is changing healthcare operations for everyone’s safety. Businesses are being labelled either essential or non-essential. The places we use to frequent on a daily basis are no longer convenient, and many of those places are locally owned businesses with families directly affected.
From restaurants to clothing, home decor to salons, small businesses makes the world go round. Many are finding themselves learning to conduct business via e-commerce for the first time. Others are getting creative in how they deliver their goods to customers with curbside delivery and pickup. And unfortunately, some have had to close up shop but hopefully only temporarily.
While I may not be a brick and mortar business or even seen as “local” to some, shopping with direct sellers like myself also helps your local economy. The income made from my home-based business is put back into my community through shopping at local retailers, donating to school and civic organizations and eating at family restaurants. As a Clinton-Sampson Chamber Member, I am a proud business owner in OUR community!
Here are just a few of my favorites in Sampson County and other parts of North Carolina:

So today I want to encourage you to shop local whenever possible, all while staying home of course. And when we do “re-open” make sure and frequent those local shops more than ever. They’ll be so grateful for your business!
