My Life Lessons of Year 37
Most people, especially women, don’t really like the idea of getting older. While I agree with that to a certain extent, I also try to look at the positive and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. So as I approach year number 38 on Sunday, I wanted to share a few simple takeaways from this past year. These are in no particular order.
Drink the water. Your skin and body will thank you later.
Take the nap. We can’t run on fumes.
Buy the outfit, purse or whatever it is you want. Obviously don’t go too crazy, but money can be made every day. You deserve to splurge.
Tell yourself you look good! It’s not conceited. It’s confidence.
Make time for date nights. Your kids need to see what a healthy relationship looks like. You’re doing them a favor.
Go on the vacation. We take both family and couple ones. It doesn’t have to be extravagant but the memories never fade.
Exercise. Yes, I know it’s not “fun” but next year you’ll thank yourself.
Read your Bible and put its words to use. This one is self-explanatory.
Keep your circle small. I’m a firm believer in quality over quantity.
Take the risk. You’re never too old to live your dreams.
And a bonus one because we all need to remember...forgive and forget. Life is too short to hold grudges.
With love,
