The Secret to Success: My Top 5 Business Tips
The last three years have taught me a lot of do’s and dont’s about business, especially when using social media as my primary platform. I’m often asked for the “secret” to success. Are you ready for it??
Here are 5 business tips that have made my journey successful thus far:
1. Be authentic
Nothing is worse than pretending to be someone you’re not. Embrace your quirky, imperfect, hot-mess-self and roll with it. People appreciate authenticity more than you know.
2. Don't force people
For the love of all things holy, STOP adding people to groups without their permission. Yep...I’ve been that person before and I apologize deeply. Refer back to #1 if you’re unsure of how to grow your business.
3. Show up
Success doesn’t fall from the sky. Shocker, I know! A business is built through consistent actions, day after day.
4. Add value
I don’t care if it costs $20 or $200, if it doesn’t bring some value to my life then it’s a waste. Show people why they need what you have, whether it’s a beauty product or a vacuum cleaner.
5. Forget the numbers
Unless they’re in your business, people don’t care how much you or anyone else has sold or enrolled. The day you stop focusing on numbers and start wanting to improve people’s lives is the day you become successful.
These are the top 5 things that I have learned will breed success. A successful business requires inevitable and necessary growth. At the end of the day, your authenticity, consistency, kindness, and heart for what you do will enable personal and professional growth in ways that will empower and promote who you are, and what you do, without you ever having to prove something to someone through force or numbers.
